Sixteen ventriloquists, one thank-you.
When Mark stepped down after twenty-three years running the Vent Haven International Ventriloquists' ConVENTion, performers from around the world recorded video messages for him. Most of the biggest names in the art are in here.
Mark would be the first to point out that a convention is run by a lot of people, not one. But the tributes below aren't really about the convention. They're from performers he booked before anyone knew them, performers he programmed onto a stage for the first time, and performers he simply picked up the phone for.
That is what forty years of being generous with an art form buys you.
